Wedonothaveanydetailsaboutthestatusofthemembersof thedelegationortheirroleandinfluenceafterIslamapartfromwhat wasmentionedbysomesourcesaboutal-Ashajjandsomeothers.AlAshajjwasthemasterofhiskinsmen,theBeni'Asr.92Thedelegation describedhimtotheMessengerastheirmaster,theonewhohad ledthemtoIslamandthesonoftheirmaster,93despitethefactthathe wasinaveryweakpositionanddidnothavethecompletesupportof hiskinsmen.Thiswasevidentfromhisrefusaltopromiseallegiance onbehalfofhiskinsfolkwhentheProphetaskedhimtodoso.Heonly madeanoathofallegianceforhimselfandpromisedtofightthose whoopposedtheinstructionsoftheMessenger'senvoytoBahrain.
