ABSTRACT

Regardless of tools and delivery format, concept development is critical to all forms of graphic communication. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, artists have expressed their ideas through the medium of animation. In more recent years, graphic designers have harnessed the potential of time and motion to convey their ideas in movie titles, network identities, Web sites, multimedia presentations, and environmental graphics. In the past, developing concepts to communicate ideas was the first challenge. Their current challenge is developing unique concepts and communicating them by storytelling.
