ABSTRACT

Every story has a beginning, middle, and end. The visual and sonic experience of images, actions, and sounds over time allows a story to unfold in its natural, chronological order. The same story can be expressed artistically according to a different timeline. Similar to the way musical conductors orchestrate sounds, motion designers orchestrate sequences of events. They choreograph the manner in which elements move and change over time, appear and disappear, and transition from one event into the next.
