ABSTRACT

This chapter has three parts. In the first (section 10.2), I will discuss some properties of durational adverbials (henceforth TADV-D), such as for three days, all night long, briefly. The next will be devoted to adverbs of frequency (henceforth TADV-Q), such as twice, often, sometimes, once (in some of its usages). And in section 10.4, selected aspects of the interaction of TADV-D and TADV-Q will be discussed; this section will take up the considerations of section 9.7.
