ABSTRACT

A toddler follows a spider’s dainty movement along the web with her eyes. Th e teacher walks over to the toddler and asks, “What are you looking at?” Th e toddler gently lift s her index fi nger to the spider’s web. Instantly, the teacher grabs a plastic toy nearby and smashes the spider. Th e toddler analyzes the balled-up spider while the teacher shakes off her fear.
