The Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 defi ned a trade union as an organ iz a tion of ‘workers . . . whose prin cipal purposes include the regu la tion of rela tions between workers . . . and employ ers or employ ers’ asso ci ations’.
