ABSTRACT

Conole’s chapter builds on Masterman’s – and references some of the same initiatives – by turning our attention to the computation tools that have been developed to support the process of design for learning. Her chapter provides a review of these tools and considers the key features and functions of each, along with how they may support practitioners in guiding their design practice. The tools and resources covered include visualization tools, pedagogical planners and specialized learning design resources. She concludes with an ecological model in which design tools and associated resources support practices of design in an integrated and sustainable way.
