ABSTRACT
The aviation industry wants to expand – others say it needs to expand to handle growth forecasts. In a modern society, passengers are demanding access to all parts of the world and global industry is setting new parameters of source and supply that makes air cargo transportation a fundamental part of the way it wants to work. Aviation, however, is under attack from the environmental lobby over the amount of carbon-based emissions it releases into the atmosphere, adding to the ‘greenhouse gas’ (GHG) effect and hastening global warming.
