ABSTRACT
Greece is a small southern Mediterranean country, the last eastern frontier of the European Community. Its capital is Athens and its population totals about 10 million. The official religion is Orthodox Christian. In 1975 Greece became a presidential republic, but the overall policy-making authority is vested in parliament.
