ABSTRACT
On 19 September, Sheikh Yamani made a speech in London in which he outlined his proposals for 'Participation' in which the oil producers would share more equitably in the control of their own oil production with the concessionaries who heretofore had paid royalties and taxes only to the owners of the oil wells.
