LISA WOLFORD: During one conference Grotowski talked about what he calls “actual work” (the current work here in Italy) 1 as “having two chiefs.” More recently, he has begun to say that you are the true creator of the recent performance structure [Action] and that he is more an “advising ancestor” to you. Could you talk about how you and he have worked together practically, and how the dynamics of your work together have changed over the years?
