ABSTRACT

National contexts restrict, of course, the possible solutions for relating industry and public education systems. This point must be emphasized in an article for international readership, as a solution relevant in a developing country will not be feasible for a developed country. Nevertheless, whilst rejecting a facile determinism, recognizing that developing countries may not repeat all the experiences of Western capitalist countries, a review based on this experience, as in the case of Italy, undoubtedly has relevance in different situations and can serve as a starting point for our ideas.
