ABSTRACT

6 June 1919, pp. 425–6,

This once highly respected but by this time declining literary weekly was edited by John Middleton Murry (1889–1957) from 1919 to 1921. Murry was opposed to the Georgians, but his interests, as in this article, often seem more aesthetic than specifically literary. This essay also appeared in the author’s Aspects of Literature (1920).
