ABSTRACT
Basically such publications are free of charge and even the postage is paid by the ORFOCA. The latter believe that the publications can reach all socio-economic strata of overseas Chinese communities, and serve a useful function in promoting kinship ties and qiaoxiang ties. In view of the high expectations, work conferences are held among the publications for overseas Chinese in Guangdong and Fujian respectively, to exchange experiences and to give credit to outstanding publications. Besides the publications mentioned above, the ORFOCA in Guangdong and Fujian also produce picture books, pictures/photos and videotapes for overseas Chinese qiaoxiang associations and individuals.
