ABSTRACT
T HE ruined cities and temples of Ma'in and Sheba, the ranges of circular blockhouse-like tombs in the vast desert necropolises,
lay far east of our route. These notes must be limited to the country which we saw. Here most pre-Islamic objects are assigned to the later phases, Himyaritic or even more recent.
