ABSTRACT
This chapter considers the relationship between intellectual property rights (IPR) frameworks and open innovation. The chapter focuses on how intellectual property frameworks might support ‘open innovation’, the increasingly common practice of profi ting from a company’s IPR by using external links to source and develop it.
