ABSTRACT

Pakistan, in the last few years, has earned the distinction of being the epicentre of radical Islamic ideology and its terrorist adherents, more so after 26/11 Mumbai attack. Even though religious extremism and terrorism is now recognised as the greatest internal security threat in Pakistan, the international community still does not believe that Pakistan is taking credible steps against it, particularly when other countries are the targets.
