ABSTRACT
It has been observed that in India there is ‘remarkable intolerance of debate and illiberalism’ which has preserved the ‘study of the liberal arts and social sciences in the stone age’. 1 Perhaps nowhere is this observation more applicable than to the studies on India’s foreign relations by Indians (barring a few honourable exceptions).
