ABSTRACT

Recent advances in research on the human genome are provoking many problems in global policy regarding the future status of human beings and the whole life system on earth. At the same time, these advances are also raising serious bioethical and philosophical questions. First of all, how should we deal with the fact that we are going to have the technology to manipulate the entire system of the human genome and other non-human genomes? Although no science or technology can be complete, gene technology will soon fall into the hands of human beings, instead of God.
