110 MINUCIUS FELIX " Among the defenders of our cause known to me, Minucius Felix occupied a very distinguished rank a t the bar. His book entitled Octavius shows what an excellent champion of the truth he could have been had he devoted himself entirely to this kind of study." St Jerome mentions him in various places, notably in the De Viris Illustribus, LVIII : " Minucius Felim, Romae insignis causidicus, scripsit dialogurn christiani et ethnici disputantis, qui Octavius inscribitur." He tells us that Minucius had also composed a De Fato.
