ABSTRACT
HAVING accepted an invitation from Mr. Kindersley to pay a visit to the Great Eastern Mines, I left my luxurious car at Hsipaw, and, accompanied by Mr. E. A. Sulman, the mines manager, on the morning of the 12th of February started upon the fatiguing ride over the mountain ranges to the north.
