ABSTRACT
In the 3rd Book of Moses XV, 2: it says: "When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh, because of his issue h~ is unclean." And it is prescribed that anything which comes' in contact with such person is unclean; "And if he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even .... " IVth Book of Moses V, 2: "Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and everyone that hath an issue, and whosoever be defiled by the dead." IIIrd Book of Moses XXII, 4: "What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things .... " A curse in lInd Book of Samuel III, 29: runs: " ... and let there not fall from the house of Joab one that hath an issue or that is a leper .... "
