ABSTRACT
You can think of the material you hear from people who consult you as falling into “planes” (geometric, not the flying ones or the tools). The problems people present have a history that can be broken down into conflicts at each phase (or plane) of their development (infancy—attachment; preschool—separation; school-age—conscience; adolescence—identity; adulthood—generativity).
