ABSTRACT
HAIFA, Jaffa, and T el Aviv are the three chief ports of Palestine, but of these three only Haifa is well developed, and it is of outstanding importance; the other two are roadsteads with basins for lighters. A few vessels also call at the roadsteads of Acre and Gaza, which are mainly of historical interest.
