ABSTRACT

A young American who had had a close look at what this war was like, wrote home that, in regard to his plans for the future, he considered it at least as important to try to find out about God as to go into the insurance business. He also told his startled parents that he might carry on his search in a community of Quakers, a Franciscan monastery, a neo-Buddhistic monastery and the Chicago Divinity School.
