ABSTRACT
THE three principal buildings in P;11ma are: the catht:dral. the Lonja, and the Palacio Real.
The cathedral, attributed by the Majorcans to James tht: Conqueror, their first Christian king and in a certain way their Charlemagne, was in fact commenced during his reign, but wasn't finished until 1601. It is of stark severity; and the limestone of which it is constructed throughout is of a very fine grain and of a beautiful amber colour.
