ABSTRACT
Squire (1884-1958) was a Cambridge-educated journalist, critic and minor poet who, as the editor of London Mercury, was a conservative force in literary politics. Writing to W. C. Williams in 1920 Pound referred to 'the wet dung of the London Murkury' (Letters, p. 222). See Introduction, p, 8.
