ABSTRACT

Dell (1887-1969) was, in 1911, an associate editor of the Friday Literary Review' of the Evening Post. He subsequently became a leading radical journalist, editor of the Masses and the Liberator, and a novelist. Pound was quite pleased with this notice. His letters to Dell are published by G. Thomas Tanselle, 'Two Early Letters of Ezra Pound', American Literature (March 1962), xxxiv, 114-19. In 1913 Dell saluted the appearance of 'Contemporania' (No. 38).
