ABSTRACT
A similar potent devil·discourager is the seal of one of the Star Gods, bearing the assurance that he has his eye on them. This is carved into a stone, or block of concrete set in the wall which faces the threatened direction. When the divinity is depicted on a scroll for indoor use he is represented as a pop-eyed individual, mounted on a Pekinese dog, and carrying his talismanic emblem in his right hand with the inscription plainly legible: "Tze Wei Cheng Chao" ( ~ 11 .if !!« ) (the Purple Planet looks straight).
