ABSTRACT
Nung (2838-2698 B.G). He is credited with the ability to pass through fire and water without singeing or getting wet, and he can also float through space, or change himself into a silkworm chrysalis. He is sometimes represented holding a plate with a small dragon on it in one hand, whilst he dispenses water with the other. He has a black-faced wife who carries a serpent in each hand and has others festooned about her ears, suggesting an Indian origin.
