Whose voice? Ethics and dynamics of working with interpreters and research assistants

This morning Sibongile and I met with the Nkosi ¹ at Ngcolosi for permission to do research in his community. She spoke to him with such ease and confidence (despite telling me how nervous she was). Thank goodness for Sibs, I would be lost without her help in situations like today!
