ABSTRACT

This is especially so when third formers and their seniors move between specialist subject workshops in the humanities, languages and English as well as science and the arts, each laid out as an enactive approach to the specialism. Longer period groupings, which are increasingly essential, call for interclass movement only during break times, when pupils collect books from bases in cloakroom and wall lockers and not form rooms. This will allow the subject teacher richer opportunity to determine in her working space the right conditions for active learning.
