ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a letter written by the author about the narrative of two Voyages to the River Sierra Leone. The Good Intent, Captain Buckle, affords author an opportunity of sending the foregoing Journal, which he fears one will think very insipid, but every day produces such a sameness that really there is not subject for high seasoning, even a common epistle one will allow journalizing still more difficult; However, to avoid tautological writing, as much as possible, the author skiped over several days at a time, which of course they have observed. His dinner on the 21st of January will somewhat puzzle them at first, and least they may not at once hit upon what occasioned it, he must acquaint them he have changed the name of Falconbridge for one a little shorter, under which he begs to subscribe himself.
