But what happens if the problem with the measurement of prejudiced attitudes is not just about self-presentation? What happens if it is not just about respondents wanting to be more politically correct? What happens if the whole thing is not just about people disguising their real underlying attitudes; attitudes which they have access to and indeed know only too well? What happens if prejudiced attitudes are complicated things with various different components?
