§52. The preposition cóng and the prepositional phrase cóng X dào Y

The preposition Ң cóng ‘from,’ followed by a noun/NP, indicates a starting point for the action of the verb. The noun phrase that follows cóng may be a time-expression (52a), a location (52b), or a topic (52c). Note that the cóng X phrase precedes the verb.
