ABSTRACT
I beg to draw your Lordship’s attention to an evil in the system, which I think might be greatly mitigated; that is, the great number of accidents which occur in the factories. I have already seen and conversed with many poor people here, who have suffered severely from this cause; and although it might occupy too much of your Lordship’ s time, and be a tedious thing to read over all the cases which I have met with, yet I think the two following are deserving of notice, and may be considered a fair specimen of the whole.
