ABSTRACT
Mr. A sh w o r t h said, they certainly had heard of my being in the factory districts, and that I had come with the intention of collecting a number of extreme cases for publication, in order to make the system appear as black and frightful as possible; that he was pleased that I had come to their establishment, and that he should be glad to hear what I had in view, and if he approved of it, he would afford me every facility in viewing their works, &c.
