Speaking of early decrepitude, and after describing the formation of bone, Mr. Sm it h says:— “ From what I have now stated, it would readily be seen that the Divine Author of our being never intended that young children should be kept standing on their legs twelve, fourteen, or sixteen hours in the day, for He is all-wise; and if so, a proper material would have been provided for that purpose, the same as in the full-grown man.
