ABSTRACT

The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) was originally developed as a parent-assisted intervention focusing on teens in middle school and high school who were having difficulty making and keeping friends. The program has been field-tested extensively with teens and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and to a lesser extent with teens diagnosed with Intellectual Disabilities (ID), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). PEERS® is also used clinically with teens and young adults with depression, anxiety, and other social challenges.
