ABSTRACT
The chapters in this book are rich in information that lends itself to extended discussion on a number of topics. However, in this overview I shall restrict myself to the central theme of adolescent identity and follow it through the chapters, commenting on the authors' discussions of identity when such a discussion is present and, when it is not, inferring what we have learned about identity from the authors' data and theoretical positions.
