ABSTRACT

Vince Lombardi coached American professional football for 10 years and compiled an astounding record of 106 wins, 36 losses, and 6 ties. For nine seasons he coached the Green Bay Packers who had a long record of poor performance before Vince took over. In nine years with Lombardi, the Packers won fi ve National Football League championships and the fi rst two Super Bowls ever played. He was admitted to the Professional Football Hall of Fame, labeled Coach of the Century by ESPN, and the Super Bowl trophy was named in his honor. Lombardi was sought after by countless organizations as a motivational and leadership speaker and he set the standard for success in leading professional sports teams.
