ABSTRACT
In casting about to fortify his interests Major Latham approached F. A. Anthony of E. & H. T. Anthony & Company, a progenitor of the photographic supply company now known as Ansco. The Anthonys were engaged in the making of still cameras, plates and papers. Many of the ponderous old portrait cameras in the professional studios of today still bear the name plate of E. & H. T. Anthony.
