We have seen how Enoch J. Rector's effort to record the Fitzsimmons-Maher fight at Langtry, Texas, extended the capacity of the camera to cover long periods of action. Now a match between Jim Jeffries and Tom Sharkey, the sailor, was to be the agency by which the motion picture was to become independent of the light of the sun.
