ABSTRACT
The ultimate purpose of this project is to propose and assess significant approaches to strategic facilitation of the UN negotiation on climate change. The research strategy has been to identify concrete obstacles to the climate talks themselves that may be downgraded, eliminated, or circumvented with the help of the strategic facilitation measures proposed. The use of this approach means that not all circumstances obstructing the negotiations and making it difficult for negotiating parties to reach constructive agreements are considered to be relevant targets for strategic facilitation, as the term is understood in this project.
