Africa at the Peace Table and The Descendants of Africans in Our American Democracy*

There has been some slight criticism of the Advancement Association for the steps it has taken to bring Africa to the attention of the Peace Conference and the civilized world. There are those who profess to see in such a move a danger to the cause of the American Negro. I wish to say that these steps have not been the result of any passing flash of enthusiasm; they were taken after careful thought and deliberation.
