ABSTRACT
HERE it would seem desirable to devote a brief space to the consideration of two customs which have played a leading part in the past history of Western Africa, and whose influence is felt to-day throughout the whole littoral in general, and the Niger delta in particular-the worship of the Ju-Ju and the traffic in human flesh.
