ABSTRACT
WHEN a field so wide as urban sociology has been the focus of attention in a single book it would be arrogant, and highly misleading, to attempt to drawn any very firm conclusion. This chapter, therefore, will merely be a short summary of some of the main points covered and some pointers to areas which require more detailed study.
