ABSTRACT

THE rUIns dealt with in the four preceding chapters are little known, but now I come to treat of sites which have often been made the subject of illustration and description. Dhlo-Dhlo, Nanatali, and Khami are situated a considerable distance to the south-west of Inyanga and Umtali, in the heart of Matabeleland, and within easy reach of Bulawayo. Zimbabwe, is east of these again, nearly due south of Umtali, and not far from the Portuguese border.
