ABSTRACT
These provinces extend along the shores of the Baltic Sea. They include, from west to east, the chief political divisions of Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Strelitz and MecklenburgSchwerin, Pomerania, and beyond the Polish Corridor—the former German province of West Prussia—East Prussia, an isolated outlier of German territory.
