ABSTRACT
BARBADOS is the most windward or the most eastern of the group of islands which are kno\vn to English geographers under the name of the Caribbee Islands. It is comparatively removed from that chain, and occupies an isolated position, the nearest island being St. Vincent, whieh is about seventy-eight miles distant from it.
